What Toastmasters Taught Me

 


When I first joined toastmasters, I was disappointed.

I thought it was all enhancing about enhancing your public speaking and leadership skills. But  I WAS SO WRONG!


The truth is that Toastmasters is more than that.

Toastmasters is a melting pot of ideas

Toastmasters taught me that it’s not just about what you say but how you say it.

It taught me , and I quote from toastmaster world champion , Mohammad Qantani,  that “Words have power”

No matter how you underestimate yourself , Toastmasters sends you a kindly reminder that you have a voice and this special voice of yours ought to be heard.

    My Dear Friend Silva, When you invited me to attend Toastmasters Zoom meeting every Wednesday, knwoing that I was overwhelmed with work, I used to make time for it because their meetings are not like any other!! The concepts and ideas shared between the colleagues, the time managment, the presentation and everything were very heart touching moments. Thank you and keep it up.
