Is teaching a skill or an art?
For me, teaching is a passion.
Teaching is a way of destressing.
We teachers are books in human forms, making the process of digesting knowledge easier to the young pupils.
We are the architects of the future generation.
Note that you cannot teach unless you are a student yourself: A student of life, always thirsty for knoweldge. During the morning I may be a teacher, but by the evening I switch to my student mode, making sure that I become updated with the latest trends to be able to present the lesson to my students in the most creative and engaging way.
Teaching is not merely abiding by a curriculum or a lesson plan. It is much more than that!
I do not teach my students Math lessons solely for the purpose of "abiding by the curriculum".
I teach my students that Math is more than equations and formulas. It is about understanding. And understading is one of the greatest virtues of humanity.
I have been tutoring for neatly 5 years and have taught 3 different schools in 10 months at the age of 22, by being colleagues with my high schoool teachers. Nevertheless, I do not weigh by teaching experience by the number of years or schools that I have taught but rather the number of hearts that I was able to touch.
Among those studnets in class, I see Albert Eisteins and Isaac Newtons. However, they are merely seeds. They need someone to water them with the bucket of knowledge and inspiratio for them to grow into flowers and make this world a beautiful place. And for the here and now, I will try to be that someone, somehow...
